Our Staff

Peter Lima, Ph.D, P.E., President of Lima & Associates, directs our transportation services and manages projects.  He has a very strong background in transportation planning, traffic engineering, and Geographical Information Systems.  His 40 years’ experience includes the private, public, and academic sectors.  Dr. Lima has managed large transportation planning and modeling projects in Arizona, Nevada, and other states.

Margaret Arellano, Business Manager, directs our clerical, personnel, and business functions.  She has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 19 years of office management experience.  She is skilled in advanced word processing, proofreading and editing, accounting, and personnel administration.  Ms. Arellano is responsible for maintaining the quality of all our documents.

Sandy Weir, AICP, Senior Transportation Planner, manages transportation, community, and environmental planning and geographic information system (GIS) studies. She has Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Geography and over thirty years of experience. Her planning and GIS clients have included federal, tribal, state, regional, and local government agencies, as well as the private sector.

Robert Bohannan, AICP, Senior Transportation Planner, provides support for our transportation and transit planning services.  He has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and 18 years of transportation related experience.  Mr. Bohannan has managed transit plans and small urban area transportation studies for various areas in Arizona.  He is also knowledgeable in rail passenger and freight planning.

James Clancy, Senior Transportation Analyst, manages transportation planning studies and provides support for our transportation planning services. Academic preparation includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Master’s Degrees in Computer Science and Construction. He has developed regional population models and created and edited databases for Pinal and Gila Counties. He is also skilled in Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Critical Path Method Scheduling, ArcGIS, and database management. Recent scholarly research includes use of alternate energy resources in transportation systems, environmental policy, geospatial analysis of population and land use, and alternate energy systems.

Shelly Brice, GIS Analyst I, provides support for our GIS and transportation planning services through map preparation and GIS analysis.  She has a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and 6 years plus of experience in cartography and in performing spatial analysis in a variety of areas, including hazard and suitability analysis.  Ms. Brice is skilled in ArcGIS and graphics programs.  She also assists us in our transportation modeling services.

Andrew Adams, GIS Technician II, provides support for GIS services through map preparation and GIS analysis. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Geography/Environmental Planning and holds several certifications in ArcGIS and GPS applications as well as being knowledgeable in the use of spreadsheet and word processing computer applications. He has prepared GIS maps using ArcView and coded transportation networks using the TransCAD software.

Phyllis Davis, GIS Technician I, provides technical support of transportation studies through the preparation of GIS maps and analysis. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and a Graduate certificate in GIS. She is skilled in ArcGIS, ArcInfo, ArcView and is knowledgeable in spreadsheet, graphic design, and word processing computer applications. She has prepared maps using ArcGIS.

Veronica Reimer, Secretary, provides clerical support to the Lima & Associates Team. She also assists in the areas of document preparation, proof reading, and editing. She is a skilled in word processing software, Excel, and Power Point. She also oversees our supplies and maintains our filing.

Lima & Associates' personnel are all degreed in their area of expertise.  Each employee receives continual in-house training and participates in a variety of seminars and workshops designed to increase the breadth and knowledge of their discipline.
